We're overlooking the effects of cooler pressure and material changes as the board warms and cools. It seems acceptable now, but the risk of cracks growing into traces is a big worry. This would be a risky decision since any trace failure could damage other parts later.

For me it's secure enough, but it relies on financial considerations. I can't decide that myself. It looks like the small marks indicate traces and are close to the damaged area, making it seem more significant than it initially appears. Edited December 14, 2025 by leclod
