The product page mentioned official support for up to 2666mhz RAM, and anything faster would be treated as an exception. Purchasing a 2x4 GB kit with 2666mhz RAM should work perfectly out of the box, though you might need to adjust it manually occasionally. As long as you get a 2x4 kit rated at 2666mhz, performance should be solid.
