Today my friend's computer wouldn't start at all. We tried several fixes without success: Resetting CMOs, switching RAM sticks, removing GPU and hard drive completely, cutting off power, and checking peripherals. The devices that didn't work were the RGB RAM sticks, suggesting the RAM might not be receiving power. Keyboards connected via USB are working, along with CPU fans, GPU fans, and the USB hub. After disconnecting the GPU and hard drive, there was still no signal to the monitor, even for BIOS. The issue seems to point toward a dead motherboard or a faulty power supply. Thank you for your help.

Probably won’t get many reply’s without specs. Especially with a black screen but no gpu mentioned. I suggest reading the pinned posts in troubleshooting so you know which information to append.

Based on these details, it seems the keyboard lights would have turned off more likely because the board was faulty.

Or power supply failed, or the cord was removed, or the cable wasn't inserted correctly. Still no 5v reaching the board.
