I’m checking the Dell XPS 15 2022 specs and the Amazon listings. The single stick is labeled CT16G48C40S5, while the pair is CT2K16G48C40S5. Both should work for 32GB RAM, but the model numbers differ slightly. You can safely buy two of the single stick to achieve the same capacity without any issues.

Do you possess two 8GB modules already? Then attempt to acquire two more of the identical type, or at least two of the same, as RAM usage frequently causes problems. After all, your performance will be constrained by the slower unit.

The general wisdom is that pairs/sets of RAM have been factory tested for compatibility with each other at the advertised speed. Although single sticks are likely to play nice with each other--this is not a guarantee.

Sure, I'll adjust that accordingly. Let me know if you need further changes!

So then opt for two identical sticks; getting a pair guarantees they match
