Alright, seems like they're just showing some signs but not full breakdowns, which is frustrating. I was trying to figure out a fix but ended up spending more time troubleshooting. The new GPU isn't working with just one PCIe slot, and checking the display options didn’t help either.

Sure, I get it. It was a risk worth taking.

Absolutely, it's time to rev up my PS4 again! Thanks for the encouragement.

Consider using a magnifying glass with a tiny hobby knife blade to reveal traces on both sides of the break. Try connecting them with a trace pen, but be cautious about whether the slight changes in capacitance or resistance could affect signal quality. This approach might not be a permanent solution. You’ll need to either repair it or replace the damaged board with something new.

Alternatively, you have a $23 conductive pen that could work if the issue is minor.

How did the Intel HS get damaged? Was it the thermal paste under the socket? The issue seems to be only on the CPU side of the motherboard.

The hs seems undamaged, probably just the lighting affecting its appearance. Let's not jump to conclusions about the CPU.

I don't know, did the person post cause damage to the CPU? I notice a deep mark on the heat sink as well, and the thermal paste near the CPU. Hopefully, it's not conductive.

Thanks for your response. At this stage I’m planning to purchase another board and move on. It seems the socket might be warped now. Oops, that’s funny—my paste slipped while removing the heat sink. It wasn’t powered in that way before, but it’s been clean since then. The CPU is working fine. Still, good eye work! It took me a few minutes to notice it right in front of my face.

I checked the CPU and HS, but there’s nothing obvious wrong with your motherboard. Unless you’re very unfamiliar with the setup, the issue might be elsewhere.

You’re noticing details around the screw hole. It seems there might be evidence of a washer that’s missing. The area shows signs of what could have been applied there.
