It doesn't seem to match the standard shape, does it? I noticed the opening now, I didn’t see it before, but it only fits something shorter than the width. Probably sits on top of screws or sticks out from the boards.

uncertain about compatibility, but seems unlikely either way. appears aimed at alienware laptops—just pulled up the first example for the MXM card. it might work with the connector, though measurements of the board, case, or socket are needed for a definite answer. I think it could fit MXM cards, but I’m not sure without more details.
