I often hear arguments that Apple products are generally more user-friendly compared to Android devices when choosing between them. Personally, I haven’t really grasped why this is the case and wanted to explore the details. As a note, I mainly use Android and have been satisfied with it, though I do own some Apple items like an iPad. Performance and hardware differences aren’t the main issue here—software ease of use seems to matter more. If that’s the case, what makes it so? I’m just looking for honest opinions from a neutral standpoint.

iOS offers greater safety because changes are limited, and I have both a 7 Plus and a Pixel 6P. While I favor Android, neither platform is perfect—both provide solid operating systems.

IOS is typically much easier (as in user friendly) than Android. Although android has many advantages also. For example, the app layout and removal, on ios it's a simple move around or remove, where as on android (depending on the ROM ofc) there is a home screen, widgets, a all apps page and sometimes more. But you're right, for basic "phone" use, they are virtually identical.

Recall that Android offers various versions and customizations. In my opinion, Android functions more like a mobile computer, whereas iOS is more basic in terms of features. I favor iOS since I’m comfortable with it and handle most tasks on my PC, so I don’t require a highly advanced phone.

for me i find the apple just easier in the Phone stolen/Lost/upgrade way. I was on android and went to blackberry Z30, Loved it was a really good phone, but got hijacked and it went with my car so tried going back to the android while i was waiting for insurance, went back to the android and just didn't feel right for me, and I was using a iPad at the time and it had so much of my data in my iCloud, where as i never got round to setting up my android backup so went with a 5.. than upgrades to a 5s, and now a 6s and everytime it was butter smooth upgrading, upgraded my ipad and it all just linked and talked beautifully. Yes Android offers this but I just couldn't care to go through it all again, I'll be sticking with apple as its just easier, its a phone I call, text and email I don't need the latest and greatest and really don't care about the rivalry between them. For me i do find the iphone easier and more enjoyable.

It's all about what you prefer. I mainly rely on iOS and Android, yet I dislike TouchWiz and Samsung completely.

Usually yes. The operating systems are fairly simple, though they've become a bit more complex lately. iOS tends to be easier to learn, just like MacOS. My grandfather could set up my iPhone and manage my photos and apps quickly. With his Android phone it took him a while to get the hang of similar tasks. You can make Android basic, but iOS offers a decent starting point right out of the box. Short version: yes

It's interesting to know your perspective on Samsung. What makes you feel that way?
