I upgraded to a second Nighthawk and attempted to install dd-wrt. The process mostly worked, but I ran into issues testing IPv6 connectivity on that router. Since my primary Nighthawk already supports IPv6, I’m unsure how to achieve the same on the second one. What steps should I try next?

Does the secondary router really forward traffic, or is it functioning more like a simple switch with Wi-Fi? You shouldn’t have any devices connected to the internet port.

Yes, I'm also double NATing. But only one device is online and it's having no issues connecting to the internet using IPv4.

The Nighthawk model appears to lack adjustable ND settings. Version 4 functions due to double NAT, while IPv6 issues arise only when routing through multiple routers. Addressing double NAT resolves the IPv6 problems in this setup.

Connecting the router to a modem might help resolve the problem. Internet protocol details aren't my strong point, so it's best to follow simple steps.

Double-NAT is used to route traffic through two NAT devices, often for testing or bypassing restrictions.

I didn't possess a backup modem for testing.

IPv6 addresses aren't enabled by default in DDWRT. I had to adjust some settings manually. You may want to check the DDWRT forum for help. I added specific rules in the firewall section and made other changes in the firmware. It's unclear if this setup will apply to your device: https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopi...highlight= That’s my comment on the DDWRT forum post.
