Mobo: Phantom Gaming 4s x570 I've just assembled a new PC and am attempting to link it to the internet using an Ethernet cable with Cat8 speed. I understand the connection works fine on my laptop since it can access the internet through it without issues. I watched a YouTube tutorial by Jayztwocents titled "What to do after building your computer." It mentioned that when the Ethernet was connected, the device automatically joined the internet, but when I tried doing the same, nothing happened. After searching online, I applied several fixes but still faced problems. I updated my chipset driver first, yet it didn't resolve the issue. Then I visited the Mobos support page and downloaded the Intel Lan driver via USB on my laptop, trying to install it on the desktop. However, when attempting the installation, I encountered an error stating "No Intel adapters present." I checked the device manager for a missing LAN adapter, but it only listed several network adapters like WAN Miniport, IP, etc., not an Intel adapter. The site suggested a possible missing Ethernet controller, which I identified by a yellow exclamation mark on a device under "other devices." Still, it labeled it as a PCI Device rather than an Ethernet Controller, conflicting with the instructions. I repeated the search for my specific controller and tried installing drivers from Intel's website, but the same error persisted. I'm stuck and unsure how to proceed.

Have you verified that all required drivers were downloaded from the maker's official site?

I can gather your motherboard is an asrock from the pics (unless it’s not which might explain stuff) and that you think you have an intel brand ethernet adaptor chipset on it (which you might not. There are several companies that make ethernet chipsets) but I still can’t tell what motherboard model you actually have which makes diagnosing this problem difficult. If you actually DO have in intel chipset for the ethernet adaptor it’s possible it’s bad which would make your motherboard bad, unless you’re using a pcie card for ethernet UPDATE: gah! Motherboard model at the very top my eyes skipped past it. Reevaluating..

The specs you shared point to an Intel chipset. If drivers are loading but hardware detection fails, the issue likely lies with the motherboard itself.

Other than the last four, follow Norton security, restart to UEFI v1.0.6 and both RGB drivers. Intel LAN is the sole cause of the error. All remaining files were downloaded without problems.

Other users appeared to set up without issues. The Amd x570 chipset I retrieved might not be the correct one. https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/...t-am4/x570. It seems I could be facing a faulty motherboard.

The correct chip set drivers are available, but they seem aimed at the CPU rather than your network interface card. You'll need to source them from AsRock. Their site doesn't appear to offer the newest driver for your NIC adapter. Have you considered downloading it directly from Intel's website? I recommend uninstalling the current drivers, restarting the computer, and then installing the latest version using the link below. Link: Intel® Ethernet Controller I211-AT

The driver version offered by AsRock doesn’t match the newest one available; I’d go with the direct link provided by Intel instead.
