Set up your new ASUS B250F gaming motherboard. Installed Windows but there’s no Ethernet connection. No network or sharing adapter configured, and the network interface isn’t listed in Device Manager. Need assistance.

Do you possess any Wi-Fi PCIe cards or USB adapters that work? Without them and possibly Ethernet, options are limited. If your motherboard lacks built-in Wi-Fi, you won’t be able to proceed.

It might be a driver problem. You should download the files to a USB drive and transfer them. One of your devices currently lacks Ethernet until the drivers are installed. Do you have the motherboard DVD?

I visited the Asus website to download drivers, but after about five minutes of installation it displayed an error. Since I have a DVD, I plan to try that later after work. Thanks!

Search for a DVD within your motherboard packaging, or visit the manufacturer's site and input all your motherboard types to find drivers. Navigate to Network settings and choose Ethernet or the relevant internet connection option.
