Each V/F curve except Best-Case Scenario keeps the system stable, which is typical since it seems like you need exceptional silicon quality to achieve that profile. For temperatures, the trained profile performs best, followed by the standard one. The worst-case boosts temperatures by about 10°C by supplying more than needed for stability, and Auto always keeps the worst-case profile active. Intel's failsafe setting appears to be problematic. To verify before stress testing, I always boot into BIOS to confirm the actual VRM core voltage is within a safe range. The trained and standard profiles maintain it around 1.3V, worst-case near 1.4V, while Intel's failsafe reaches up to 1.527V. I didn’t want to risk a stress test on that profile, so I stuck with the trained one for its stable performance. Why does Intel seem to push my CPU to extreme temperatures? If this is indeed Intel’s fail-safe, does it really mean it’s safe to run at those voltages, or is it more like “if you completely lost your silicon chance, here’s a profile to preserve your data so you can upgrade quickly”?
