Hey there, I'm still getting used to W10 Pro. I noticed the Intel RST service wasn't working properly. After checking services.msc, it started and rebooted, but before then it hung when trying to start. It seemed like the issue was resolved after a reboot, though. I looked up some info and found that some sites suggested it shouldn't be disabled at all. Do you think this manual start of the ICCS service was the cause? Is it necessary to set it to manual start in services.msc? Let me know if you have more details!
It seems unnecessary for your setup. Modern Intel® 8 Series PCHs enable direct graphics driver access to display clocks, making the “Intel® Integrated Clock Controller Service” redundant. The service is also utilized by Intel eXtreme Tuning Utility (XTU) for overclocking. Adjusting it affects only runtime overclocking with XTU. On older chipsets, disabling it can prevent clock bending, which might cause screen flicker. This feature gathers no data.
