The clock speed feature is available on a single core, and the power consumption is determined per core.

Comeback? Intel has no chance of recovering. We might get excited about Ryzen’s speed and efficiency, but Intel is beyond fixing. GG WP. Yet this isn’t always true. Bulldozer didn’t wipe out AMD; Intel’s struggles were just a minor setback. On the CPU front, AMD delivered outstanding results with Ryzen, while Intel missed its chance in transistor tech. The current supply constraints actually helped Intel maintain production. Now that the GPU market is tight, Intel stands to capture a fresh opportunity.

This was a poll created by someone who really likes Intel, not one who actually knows the business side. Intel remains an extremely powerful firm, their brand awareness still far surpasses AMD, they still lead in the prebuilt market for desktops and laptops, and they hold the top spot in enterprise solutions. The only area where they’re falling behind is among builders and hobbyists—most of us here. But honestly, I’ve got some bad news: we’re practically irrelevant in the big picture. AMD will fade away long before Intel even thinks about facing a challenge. Still, both companies are performing well right now, and there’s no reason to worry either one.

Hey, are you high or just really tipsy? Probably a mix of both.

They're not affected, Intel remains a major player in server tech, and the shares are holding up.

So far, Intel remains a strong contender. They offer more than just CPUs and boast significant cache capacity. Even if x64 technology faded, Intel still holds an ARM license (possibly version 6) and has recently expressed interest in RISC-V. Apple’s achievements with ARM architecture were impressive, though they depended on specific conditions. I’m skeptical about Intel disappearing entirely—though it’s possible. There’s also the chance government support could shift if Intel signals a retreat (something AMD experienced).

It's typical for people to view these firms through the lens of their specialized products rather than their broader corporate offerings. Intel is significantly bigger and manufactures far more than just desktop CPUs. They recently launched a product, which might be unfamiliar to some. Currently, they lead in the niche desktop CPU market. It's unclear what the discussion in this thread means.
