I installed hundreds of mods on L4D2 and everything functions properly. Unless you rely on cheats, you won’t face a ban—Worshop mods tend to be secure.

It's unlikely cheating mods would result in a full Steam ban, but a VAC ban or server exclusion is possible.

Typically, no. Regarding a VAC ban, you can only enforce it by changing the VPKs the game employs by default.

They probably won<|pad|>'s not ban you for changing the VPKs. You'll just be removed from servers that have sv_pure turned on.
