It makes sense there could be reasons behind slowing down or using VSync for smoother performance. Instead of guessing, try setting a fixed frame rate in-game and check if any noticeable delays appear. Ultimately, the experience should match what you expect.

Refers to the delay when pressing keys or moving a mouse, measuring how long it takes for the signal to reach the device and be processed by the game. You won’t feel the impact because at 60 or even 24-30 frames per second the lag is minimal (about one unit). Increasing the frame rate doesn’t reduce it further. Lag usually comes from other sources rather than this. In my view, it significantly influences responsiveness either way. We’re focusing on what you perceive more than technical details affecting gameplay.
