I just received a new PC from amazon.de (Sedatech Office PC, AMD Ryzen 7 7700). The fans are running, but no video appears on my monitor via HDMI. There’s no dedicated GPU—only built-in graphics. I’m sure no operating system is installed, but I thought I’d insert a USB stick to get at least some display output. The LED next to BOOT shows green. Removing all RAM caused an error, so I reinstalled and it worked again. I cleared the CMOS and waited ten minutes with no improvement. Should I attempt to flash a different BIOS version? There’s a flash BIOS button on the back of the case. What are the chances the CPU was disconnected during shipping? The packaging looked great, foam was solid, and the case showed no damage. The air cooler is quite large. I’m worried about removing the CPU because I don’t have any thermal paste. Mainboard: MSI Pro B650-P Wi-Fi Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X X speed: 4.5GHz (max 5.4GHz) CPU fan: Fortis 5 dual fans. Graphics: AMD Radeon built-in. [RAM]: 32GB DDR5 5200MHz dual channel (2x16GB)

Did you press the button to activate, noticed some activity and after a while you press it again to shut it down (and the PC eventually powers off)? Then try once more? Typically new systems come with an OS pre-installed. I’d attempt using a real Windows installation USB drive (created via the Microsoft tool). Edited March 12, 2024 by leclod

I placed the order for the option without windows OS since it was more affordable. If there were any video output, I could have easily booted Linux from a USB drive, but not at all. I repeatedly pressed the power button, and it always lit the green LED, indicating the motherboard was receiving power. There was no error sound, even when speakers were connected. The only indicator of an issue was when both RAM sticks were removed...

Have you given Linux a shot? I wondered if a missing driver might be the issue—perhaps a USB key installation is needed. It seems odd with no sound or LED, so maybe something’s wrong with the cooler or CPU. I’d consider updating the BIOS next.

Just in case it's drivers... I discovered the SATA power and data connection, linked an SSD that definitely ran Linux, but nothing happened. Then came the BIOS, followed by the CPU which I really didn’t want to interact with.

Thank you for your attempt... The computer interacted with the TV... likely a refresh rate problem, as it isn't compatible with my older monitor.
