No image signal remains after adjusting the CPU speed.
Hey everyone,
I tried an overclock on my AMD Ryzen 5 1600 from 3.4Ghz to 3.8Ghz and set the 1.350Vcore. After saving the settings and restarting, I didn’t see any image signal. The LEDs inside the CPU came on, but the CPU fan spun and my peripherals didn’t turn on—they had LEDs. I took out the GPU and nothing changed; even removing RAM or trying to reset the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery didn’t help. Using a screwdriver for the JUMPER didn’t work either. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this?
Check my PC specs in the profile description.
Thanks
The only possibilities I’ve considered (in the order I think about the worst) are:
1. Motherboard
2. CPU
3. PSU
I’ve chosen the PSU because you have some power available. I didn’t pick the CPU first since failures don’t seem very frequent.
Now I’m leaning toward the MOTHERBOARD.
I should probably reach out to MSI Tech Support first.
OTHER:
It could be a failed Graphics Card. It feels like a coincidence, but you need to verify it somehow. You might try using a working card or test it on another computer.
