No, I'm not a Linux user.
I've been on Linux since 1996. Most people don't use Windows!
There are several machines in different stages of updates: one with Ubuntu 17.04 Gnome set to transition to Pop!_OS, another with Fedora 25 requiring an upgrade, one running only Ubuntu 17.04 Gnome, and a desktop version also targeting Gnome with a similar plan. All share the same pop gtk theme and icons. Additionally, you have an openSuse Tumbleweed VM.
Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 functions well as a media server and download hub. Equipped with an Intel 4th Gen Core i3 processor, 4GB DDR3 memory at 1600MHz, and the CM Force 500 case.
On my desktop with Manjaro xfce, AMD Phenom II X6, and the specified hardware, I’m using Ubuntu on a MacBook.
I’m currently running Debian 9 (Stretch) and really enjoy it. Before that, I used Debian for ten years, starting with Ubuntu 10.04 on a netbook in middle school. I gave the latest release a chance but the interface didn’t appeal to me. I’m aware of alternatives like Lubuntu or Xubuntu, but I prefer sticking with Debian.
