Ab. So. Lute. Ly. Not that UI prevented me from acquiring it initially, though it definitely had an effect. Secondly, there wasn’t a notable enhancement to 8 over 7.
Windows 8.1 and 10 are both really bad, though 8.1 had some decent features. Windows 10 is unsure whether it should be a tablet or a desktop with its terrible app settings. Windows 8 keeps using the control panel. I think most of my laptop drivers work on 8 but not on 10.
Drivers for W10 aren't the issue—hardware makers are responsible. W10 is more similar to version 7 than to 8.1, with a real start menu and other solid features. Updates can be positive. W10 works fine for me; I've only experienced one failure, which wasn't too serious. W8.1 seems to strip away the graphical interface.
