I returned to Windows 8.1 and it’s great, my performance jumped by around 20%. Back in Windows 10 it used about 30 seconds even with an SSD. Now it’s down to 10 on Windows 8.1. Which one would you prefer—Windows 10 or Windows 8.1?

God no. W10 looks much better overall. Did you perform a fresh installation or just upgrade?

I completed the setup successfully. Performance remained subpar. I moved to Windows Embedded 8.1, which boots in 10 seconds.

Windows 10. I’m ready to trade quick startup times for all the awesome deals available in Windows 10.

Otherwise I'd use Windows 10, but the good news is I don't have unnecessary programs like weather. I only have the Store.

Windows 10 runs smoothly even on my AMD system, and the SSD version feels quicker than the older W8.1. It’s odd how the “tablet” edition still lags behind.

It looks like Windows 10 isn’t working well with my PC lately—frequent internet issues, boot problems, and overall instability. I’m planning to upgrade soon, but I’ll be using a different OS, likely Windows 8.1, since Windows 10 doesn’t suit me.

I haven't touched Windows 8 before; I switched directly from version 7 to 10. If I needed to revert, I'd choose version 7 instead.

It would have been a major issue if Windows 8.1 didn’t function properly.
