A completely unreasonable method for assessing secondhand gear. If you can find similar items at a lower price, then the worth of the used pieces doesn’t really stand up. You’re missing out on the benefits new products offer, especially the added value like warranties. Still, if that’s how you see used hardware, you’re the kind of customer I enjoy working with.

it was just a partial search on Google. if i had checked more platforms besides eBay, i’d have found better options. the nearest match was £110, but you could likely get something cheaper and simpler. still, a quick search helps sometimes.
