Did it make sense? Did your results improve noticeably? I’m considering a 3600 but need more clarity. Intel isn’t recommended here since it doesn’t fit EU regulations. Please let me know your thoughts so I can help better. Thanks!

For what purposes? Primarily for gaming, though it can also handle tough applications requiring significant CPU strength.

What are you matching it with? Is your budget up to date? Are you happy with how your current setup is performing?

You're checking how your PC performs, especially if FPS drops in certain games compared to the 6600K.

His GPU jumped from 6600 to 7700, showing a big improvement. However, it all comes down to the games and your desired performance goals—what titles you play and the refresh rate matter.

For AAA games from the past few years, the 3600 offers significant benefits.

That's a lot more replies than anticipated. Please confirm you haven't missed any of your queries. I'm playing alongside a 2070 Super I, focusing on Rainbow Six, Total War: Rome 2, Attila, and Warzone. I'm using a 144hz refresh rate. While I don't aim for those speeds in Total War, I understand the budget is around 300-350€ for CPU and mainboard.

Do you feel the rig is working well? Are there any issues with frame time or other problems?

For your suggested performance goal, rainbow 6 siege clearly gains from additional cores. My roommate runs a Ryzen 5 2600 for high refresh R6S and it performs well.

I’d like to improve my performance and reduce the CPU strain. That sounds like a smart solution. I also plan to use systems with more cores in the future, since background tasks can impact frame rates.
