That's a lot more replies than anticipated. Please confirm you haven't missed any of your queries. I'm playing alongside a 2070 Super I, focusing on Rainbow Six, Total War: Rome 2, Attila, and Warzone. I'm using a 144hz refresh rate. While I don't aim for those speeds in Total War, I understand the budget is around 300-350€ for CPU and mainboard.

For your suggested performance goal, rainbow 6 siege clearly gains from additional cores. My roommate runs a Ryzen 5 2600 for high refresh R6S and it performs well.
