I launched Assassin's Creed Unity and noticed this issue. I wondered if it was my GPU or the game itself. I remembered texture problems before, but now they seem more serious. What’s going on?

ACU is a massive pile of trash, and I worry it’ll stay that way for a long time. The takeaway is, never preorder games.

Problems with Assassin's Creed Unity are common. Many players face texture loading issues and other glitches. Your graphics card works, but you should expect an update from Ubisoft soon.

The current texture configurations are not ideal—the visuals appear severely degraded. (Update: December 28, 2014 by Godlygamer23)

I've experienced this with a handful of games, and it's really quite normal. The best thing to do is just ignore it and it will probably get fixed with a patch at sometime. Like I said, this is a very common problem in a number of games especially newer titles, and it usually gets fixed.

However, FPS problems were resolved on Watch Dogs 5 after the release of the fixes, making the bugs effectively disappear.
