You simply transfer your existing SSD into the new setup and wait, most of the time it works. There isn’t a single method to retrieve everything for non-store applications. Firefox can sync if you’re signed in with a Firefox account, Chrome will handle it when logged in via a Google account, but each third-party app manages things differently or doesn’t at all.

I have access to a local account, yet I see you can download many items from the store without it. Paid purchases don’t work, and it doesn’t appear there’s an option to pay with PayPal. I haven’t played any games yet—I think most require an account. It’s unclear if Microsoft offers free games, but I’m guessing there are some like Angry Birds and Minesweeper.

You're just trying to access the store again, but it's not set up to be saved on Windows. The feature is a bit concealed because it will prompt you to do the opposite first.

right, but what i meant is, it doesn't require a log in at all, that's how I got a bunch of codecs etc... it even stores download history - although tbf it seems to have forgotten most of it (was like 10 items, I see only 2 currently) That's why I always clone, most stuff will just keep working, funny enough only app I know which will require you to login again is Steam, but Chrome for example just works in my experience .
