No, I don't live on Quake anymore.
Quake isn't the top pick for me in first-person shooters, though I don't have a favorite either.
I previously enjoyed it for a while, but I haven’t played an online game in a while. Most of what I do is offline just to have some fun, like crafting the pistol in Halo and shooting rockets. Recently, I’ve been trying out some Half-Life mods, especially Crack-Life, which was really intense. I don’t play online much because my ping is poor or my internet isn’t reliable.
Never played pro in Quake Live, but became competitive in Quake 3 through local tournaments only. I was underage for a few events, but none of them led to further progress because my connection was poor—every server had over 100 ping, which is too high for smooth gameplay. That made it hard to react fast enough, especially since reflex-based games are more demanding than others. On the other hand, I should consider Quake Live now since my connection has improved. I need to work on bhoping mechanics again and regain my rail skills. But in short, Quake remains my favorite FPS and always excites me with its fast-paced action.
