Hello to anyone that reads this I'm currently building my first PC and have ran into a small dilemma I am installing a cooler Master masterliquid ml240l rgb AIO CPU cooler to a ROG STRIX B450-F gaming Motherboard my issue is this motherboard has a designated AiO pump and cha_fan1 header but the build guide I was following suggested that I should connect to two cables that comes off from the pump to CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT headers at the top right hand corner of the motherboard and that is where have connected them however I'm not certain this is correct any advice on where I should connector to pump cables is more than welcome

Pump connected to AIO_PUMP header, fans linked to CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT header. All functions converge under different names. Ideal approach: fix pump speed in BIOS and let fans adjust based on CPU temperature.

Two cables from the pump? I own an ML360R and one is RGB. It shouldn’t connect to a pump header. The pump cable can go anywhere; you can adjust its speed via BIOS or an app from your motherboard maker for Windows.

Insert into the pump header—it matches the fan header. Either way, it uses a PWM connector.

They should differ slightly from the RGB setup, as each fan has its own dedicated wire. Thank you for the guidance!

The pump also features RGB lighting. Note that the ML240L model may lack RGB options. The second cable’s purpose isn’t clear—having an image would clarify its function.

That's clearly an ARGB cable, right? It's linking up with the ARGB splitter.
