Yes, it should work if you have the right components and a compatible power supply.

Confirm the updated bios featuring the Ryzen 1200, then proceed with the Ryzen 3600 option.

You don't have to purchase anything yourself. AMD may offer a processor loan to help you upgrade your BIOS. https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-100 Alternatively, consider what others recommend. Visit a nearby store and get it installed for you—it might cost a little but is worth it.

The issue is there isn't a nearby shop I can visit since I live in southern Denmark. I have to drive about two hours to reach the closest one. If I only need to spend a small amount of money on an AMD Ryzen 3 1200, I'm fine with that. So it seems to work okay.

It seems like you're navigating a tricky situation. Getting the Ryzen 1200 will definitely make things easier. You'll also have an extra processor to test with.

It's an AMD A6-9500 model. It offers less processing power compared to the Ryzen 3 1200, but it provides integrated graphics, allowing booting without a dedicated video card or if your GPU fails. Unlike the Athlon 200GE referenced in the boot kit details, this version doesn't need a BIOS update for 300-series boards and should function properly on a B350 platform.
