It’s not straightforward to guess the exact DDR5 performance from a DDR4 setup. The motherboard supports DDR5 up to 8000MHz, but your CPU’s speed depends on compatibility and architecture differences. Comparing DDR4 and DDR5 isn’t simple because their timings and memory interfaces change significantly. Your current configuration suggests you’re using a compatible platform, but the leap in speed isn’t guaranteed. It’s best to test it or check the motherboard specs for precise limits.

I can't provide an answer to this query, but I can say that upgrading DDR5 RAM beyond around 6000MHz for a cl36 chip won’t noticeably improve performance. It might seem like a waste of money.

The connection between DDR4 and DDR5 won't be strong. These types differ significantly in their operation, so they won’t share the same memory controller components. Switching to DDR5 means beginning from zero to assess stability. However, it’s not worth it unless your project or game really depends on high memory speed. Why are you considering a complete upgrade for a likely 5-10% gain in everyday performance and gaming?

Thanks! I agree you should start fresh to discover the DDR5 capabilities. Here are two main reasons why switching might be worthwhile: 1. My main game is Escape from Tarkov, which is very demanding on CPU and RAM—even a small improvement can make a big difference. The game isn’t well optimized either. 2. I create content like gameplay and benchmarks for this title, and I’m curious about comparing DDR4 and DDR5 performance.

It depends on what you need. Your setup looks top-of-the-line, so it should handle things well. But if you can afford it and want even better speed and luxury, DDR5 will perform better—except for that rare case where it slows down in CSGO, though CS2 has improved.
