No, I am not receiving the Razer Forge.
Check out the first look: http://www.slashgear.com/razer-forge-tv-...-09363084/ The Forge Box is priced at $99. The controller with Cortex software will be about $80, and the turret keyboard/mouse station around $120, bringing the total to roughly $299. This seems reasonable compared to previous purchases—my NVidia Shield cost $200 plus extra costs for Miracast and a separate dongle. Still unsure if it’s worth it, though. The benefit is avoiding a single card like the Shield, but I’m worried about Razer’s quality control. I appreciate getting Android 5.0 Lollipop included. What are your thoughts? Will you buy one if it ships with these specs? Why or why not?
I need to look up some feedback on it; however, I’m drawn to the idea because we first heard about Ouya. At $99 it feels like a solid offer. A wireless Xbox 360 controller is more than sufficient for use, so the custom joystick doesn’t stand out much. The turret design seems interesting but my budget-friendly Logitech keyboard and trackpad combo works just fine for screen navigation.
You won’t receive it at the moment because you don’t have funds right now. I’m planning to assemble a steambox using old components. If I had the money, I’d definitely get it! It seems really cool overall—especially the android gaming concept and the mouse/keyboard setup.
They seem to be focusing on that wireless keyboard/mouse for gaming, even though it's not mechanical and might be a bit overpriced. It also folds up nicely.
