No HDMI signal. All parts are working. New Build.
My components all work together smoothly. On power-up, fans activate with RGB lighting and GPU fans engage. Everything appears operational except for the lack of HDMI output from the GPU. I've checked connections, tried different cables, and even re-seated the GPU, RAM, and CPU without success. The GPU doesn't produce a click sound when installed, but the slot moves back to its original position. I also removed the GPU and connected HDMI directly to the motherboard, but no signal was received.
It’s clear you’re aware that the GPU could be the problem, but after checking the HDMI connection and still getting no signal, it might point to a CPU issue. If you decide to fix it yourself, inspect the CPU back for any visible damage or test the motherboard—if it hums near the CPU socket, there could be internal issues. This subtle noise is noticeable; good luck, and I’ll follow up soon.
Have you searched for the post LEDs? They should change when you power on, cycling through CPU, RAM, boot, VGA, etc. If it’s stuck on one position, that’s a good clue. Have you tried resetting the BIOS? Make sure the RAM is securely connected. Checked if the CPU pins are bent or damaged? Confirmed all power cables are properly attached. In the photo, I noticed a red LED at the bottom—could that be the post LEDs? It might indicate the CPU status.
Thanks for the advice. The post LED appears to have failed the CPU test and is stuck on RAM. I reset the CMOS via the button on the I/O panel, but that didn’t resolve it. It seems the RAM is still connected properly—power cables are secure and I’ve tightened them more. Perhaps a thorough cable management is needed. It looks like the issue is related to RAM, so I’ll continue troubleshooting.
If it's stuck on RAM, it's likely a RAM problem. Try installing one stick at a time in different slots, paying attention to the click when they're inserted at both ends. It could also be the CPU or socket affecting RAM performance, but I think testing one stick at a time is the best approach.
I adjusted the RAM settings and tried moving it further away from the clip. Now the RAM LEDs are off, while the BOOT and VGA LEDs are lit. I reinserted the graphics card, but it keeps showing up on the BOOT and VGA LEDs. It seems the GPU didn’t properly engage. The clip returned to its position, but there wasn’t the expected click.
Approach getting closer—ensure VGA functions properly. Verify connections are secure on both ends and at the PSU. Test other PCIe slots or revert to your graphics card. Booting works smoothly with all cables connected or if using M.2/NVMe, just enable BIOS for setup.
You've successfully tried again! Thanks a lot! Your advice was really useful. TYSM!
Ensure RAM is seated completely, applying pressure to both sides even with a single clip on the motherboard. Inspect CPU pins carefully. Clear CMOS settings. Reattach the GPU properly. Verify all connections are secure. Use a different HDMI or DisplayPort cable if needed.
