Hey there, sorry to interrupt anyone. I just created my account and wasn’t sure which category it should go into, so I picked this one. I’ve been facing some trouble with my PC—specifically an RTX 2080 Super, Core i7-9700K, and 16GB RAM. (850W 80+ Gold power supply). The room tends to get cold, and I keep monitoring temperatures closely. I’m unsure what’s going wrong. My issue started when I tried to run FNAF:SB and realized High Raytracing wouldn’t work. I chose Low for performance and Medium for visuals, but my FPS dropped right away. After checking GPU utilization it was at 0, so I updated drivers, adjusted settings in the control panel, modified power options, and tried everything. I’m hoping someone here can help with similar problems—this also happens with games like Cold War, Minecraft, Siege, Overwatch, and more. Thanks!

It depends on the specific situation; not every game necessarily repeats the same outcome.

It occurs frequently in many games I enjoy, such as GTA, Minecraft, Siege, and Cold War.

I updated the drivers and it improved things, though I’m still seeing only 1% or less GPU usage. My FPS has gone up slightly—around 2 frames more now. Thanks!

Consider giving the GPU another placement, it could be misaligned or loose. Once fixed, adding a bracket might help keep it secure. There could also be a temperature problem, so swapping the thermal paste might be worth trying if you're comfortable.

Check the temperature sensors first to verify before disassembling the card. Use HWInfo64.
