No fixed path for the PC.
The game supports multiplayer, it feels more like an MMO than a traditional experience. I’m not concerned about the platform—playing on PS3 was great, though my PC couldn’t handle Destiny well.
they don't make any income from selling PC games, yet they benefit greatly from Xbone titles and live subscriptions. less PC availability means more console players, which generates more revenue for M$ and $ony.
I bet Bungie knows how much they could make, but I think there's a *puts on tin foil hat* conspiracy with Acti Novision and Micro$haft not wanting the rest of the Halo series on PC to boost Xbone sales.
Absolutely, for gaming on a PC it's essential to have Windows installed.
It seems Nintendo might be facing tough choices due to rising game development costs, making it risky to restrict market access. This explains why Microsoft had to invest $250 million for the upcoming Tomb Raider, pushing its release to other platforms.
individuals continue to purchase Windows versions for any reason, even when playing PC games
Unique titles and genuine first-party exclusives remain essential. Perhaps they’ll move them to PC, but a game built in-house by SONY or MS would never reach another platform. Those titles aren’t made for profit—they’re crafted to strengthen the ecosystem. Consoles are so alike now that it boils down to fan enthusiasm, features (lol) and exclusive content. What would motivate someone to buy an XBONE instead of a PS4 today if there were no exclusives?
This reinforces Nintendo's position clearly. Most games built in-house for Sony and Microsoft don't stand out and aren't selling well on those platforms. Relying on outside developers keeps their systems alive, but without making those titles exclusive, people won't feel motivated to buy. Nintendo often faces criticism for its limited third-party support, but if any of these consoles need to endure beyond this generation, it will be Nintendo. It's unlikely they'll last much longer—probably just a couple of years before a new console appears.
