I have a Ryzen 7 3700X and G-Skill Trident Z 2400 RAM installed on an MSI X570 A-Pro MB with a Corsair 850W gold PSU. When I'm performing overclocking, I use the stock CPU settings and only changed the XMP profile. At 2400 MHz it runs well and gives solid scores. I upgraded to 2600 MHz and achieved even better results. However, any adjustments beyond that cause my scores to drop by more than 100 points. My tests on Cinebench R20 are consistent, showing only about 5-point variations between runs without system changes. Should I consider adding more power to the RAM? The auto power seems effective for the CPU, which is stable at 4.5GHz with stable voltage. At that speed it also worked well, but I tried the RAM again at 4.5GHz and still didn’t exceed 2600 MHz without improving scores. No crashes have occurred, just consistently poor results.

Did you adjust the latency settings yourself? Setting the target speed without modifying the latency will increase your computer's delay. For instance, my Dominator 3200 can run at 3600 automatically, but without latency tuning I see a CAS latency around 20-22-22-54. Last week it settled to a steady 14-14-14-32. Tighter CAS latency means quicker performance. A Cine20 rating boost by 200 points would help. Confirm with ThaiPhoon if your RAM is Samsung B-Die, then you can raise the voltage up to 1.5V; I use 1.45V for consistent operation.
