I recently purchased a new laptop and am trying to share five shared drives along with a Synology DS215J NAS. When attempting to map the drives, none appear on my laptop or two others. I've tried reinstalling smb1.0, which the Synology NAS requires, and I've turned off my internet security settings, but it hasn't helped. My network knowledge is limited, so anyone who can guide me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Are they connected via IP? Which error occurs during the mounting process?

The system indicates the drives are missing. I attempted to locate them by entering the IP address and searching, but both efforts were unsuccessful. Updated March 20, 2018 by jimkirk363 Added name

Yes, I can check the IP addresses of the NAS and the computers hosting the shared drives.

@Levisallanon Yep the ping is working properly, but for some reason they are refusing to map it.

Check if network discovery is active on your Windows system. https://www.isunshare.com/windows-10/tur...ws-10.html

The NAS is connected to an IP address such as 192.168.0.2. Previously, you could map the drive to that specific IP and share, but now it doesn't work. Windows indicates it can't locate the drive. You can ping the NAS at 192.168.0.2, and other devices on the same network should be able to access the drives. It seems the firewall and security settings on your laptop were disabled, and network discovery was turned off. If you navigate directly to the NAS web interface from this machine, all mapped drives should appear correctly.

They’re working with all the shared drives, but this laptop is having trouble locating them.
