I'm working on a Lenovo m92p Workstation. It won't post. I've tried several fixes: using a functional RAM from my PC, testing each RAM slot one by one, reseating the CPU, removing the HDD and optical drive, and resetting the BIOS (deleting CMOS). I don’t have access to a power supply because it’s proprietary.
Many of these workstations rely on custom power supplies. The situation is uncertain at this stage. Possible issues include a bad motherboard, a defective PSU, or even a faulty CPU—though that seems less likely. Without a compatible PSU for testing, it’s tough to tell if the problem lies with the PSU or the motherboard. Also, the motherboard could be proprietary. I recently worked on two Dell Precision workstations, and it was a challenge: dealing with both PSU and motherboard components. You might need to remove them all for parts—RAM, CPU, GPU, storage, etc.—and dispose of the motherboard and PSU.
