I experimented with the graphical options in rebirth. At first, everything was set to 120fps in sync. Using the NVIDIA control panel I reduced it to 60fps. The game performed well with frequent resolution changes. Later I noticed the frame rate dropping after starting at 60fps. Checking the CPU showed it was at 88°C with maximum fans running, while the GPU was at 60°C. This is on an i7 9th generation processor and a laptop with a 2060. There seems to be inadequate cooling possibly due to the thermal pad issue.

Have you ever had that laptop refurbished? If not, I’d be sure to do it.
