Hmm... that doesn't make much sense. Thanks for the info, though. It seems the update window is limited to the first year after release. Microsoft did that. Glad you're happy!

According to what I learned, anyone who purchased 7,8, or 8.1 receives a complimentary complete version, provided they receive it within the initial year. It's an authentic full copy.

No, guys. You need just one year to upgrade, not a full year of Windows. The license remains identical to what you'd get if you purchased Windows directly.

Well, unless it's a partial failure when it comes out, it might be better to keep it on for a week or two. This will help confirm that Windows 10 is running smoothly, drivers are functioning correctly, and everything behaves as expected.
