I mistakenly added some malware to my PC and ended up stuck in the autorepair cycle. After running cleanup commands in CMD, it worked and the system started functioning normally. Once fixed, everything seemed okay until I reset the computer. Then I received a warning saying "No audio output device is installed" with a red cross next to the audio icon. I've watched several videos trying different fixes but haven't been able to resolve the problem. I followed guides, installed various programs, opened CMD, disconnected everything and held the power button for 30 seconds, but nothing helped. The issue keeps appearing when I turn on the computer, showing "There was a problem starting winscomrssrv – the specified module could not be found." I've tried multiple solutions, including using Autoruns and searching for fixes online, but none worked. I checked the Device Manager for audio devices and noticed two entries labeled “realtek high definition audio” and “Sonido Intel® para pantallas,” which should match Intel Display Audio. Under System Devices, there was nothing related to audio. I downloaded an Intel driver and attempted an update, but it still didn’t detect anything. I also looked at r/techsupport for advice, but they couldn't help. There’s no damage or corruption reported.
There may be additional issues beyond the audio problem, so I wouldn't rely on the current Windows setup. A fresh installation would be safer. You can move your files and documents to another device, scan them there, and then reinstall Windows from a clean media. This means making a bootable USB or DVD with a new installation rather than using the existing one.
