I'm facing a challenging issue here... Last night I used my PC (Windows 10) without any problems. After turning it off for the night, I noticed the "Update Windows and Shut Down PC" option. I selected it, and the system began shutting down to apply updates. When I turned it back on this afternoon, the update completed successfully. I briefly used the computer to open a few Word and PDF files, then powered it off again. Later in the evening, when I tried to boot, "no boot device found" appeared. My motherboard displayed a boot_device LED, indicating a boot device error (ASUS ROG Corshair V Formula board). The BIOS didn't recognize my SSD — even after swapping SATA cables and using another storage device from the same PC. I'm now trying to create a bootable ISO on one of my USB drives in hopes of fixing the OS. Please help is greatly needed, especially since my final exams begin this week. All system details are listed below (spoiler #1: AMD setup). The boot drive I'm using is a Corsair ForceGT 120GB SSD. Thanks...

Consider replacing the SATA connector on the motherboard.

I'll try it out. The replacement drive appears in the BIOS settings (boot priority, overdrive, setup menu).

Disable quick startup or any conflicting settings that might have been altered by the update.

Do you have a different unit to evaluate the SSD? If yes, attempt it.

I placed it in a case that came with my Kingston SSD and connected it to my Ultrabook using USB. The laptop doesn’t even recognize the drive, despite having power. The Windows 10 bootable ISO doesn’t see it either, so I can’t perform any recovery or startup fixes. I attempted to use PhotoRec to access the drive since it bypasses the file system, but that didn’t work. I also experienced a similar issue a few months ago where the drive wasn’t detected, but adjusting the data and power cables seemed to resolve it then. Perhaps that was the sign that the drive was malfunctioning, and the Windows 10 update pushed it beyond repair... who knows what happened.

Was der SSD im Disk-Management-Programm angezeigt? Falls nicht, könnte ein Windows-Update möglicherweise Leseschreibvorgänge darauf durchführen – prüfen Sie das noch. Edited December 8, 2015 von Yongtjunkit

I'll review the SSD again on my second PC later this week. It would be helpful to try and retrieve any lost data. If possible, I might disassemble it and check for signs of damage or faulty solder joints.

They need to be disabled...including the Q-LED feature on my motherboard. It activates during startup and performs extensive tests on the CPU, DRAM, GPU, and boot device.
