I just assembled my first PC last night and after finishing everything I powered it on, installed Windows, and updated the drivers. When I decided to play a game for the first time, I noticed no monitor output at all. My keyboard and microphone turned on briefly before shutting off again. The only changes since yesterday were the monitors and peripherals, but they’ve all functioned perfectly so far. I was also using her setup with my new PC yesterday while setting everything up, which is another factor. I checked the diagnostic LEDs on my motherboard—they were flickering on and off (see attached video). I don’t know what’s causing this and would really appreciate any assistance! I’ll now share what I’ve tried and verified: No extra standoffs are shorting anything, all PSU cables are properly connected, the cables link to the GPU—not the IO. No other monitors work with it, not even my GFS that I used yesterday. All display cables connect correctly with other devices I’ve tested. How long have you been waiting after powering up your machine? On AMD systems, memory warm-up can be slow during initial boot cycles. If it takes 5 to 10 minutes before the system responds, reset your CMOS. Disconnect the power source, press the power button for 5 to 10 seconds to release stored energy. Locate the CMOS jumper on the mainboard and connect it accordingly. As specified in your manual, you may need to keep this connection short for 5 to 10 seconds. After that, attempt to boot the computer again. If the problem continues, reposition the CPU and check both the chip and socket for any signs of damage or debris.

I didn’t reinstall the CMOS, maybe the Windows is getting corrupted on my drive. When I remove the SSD, the BIOS starts up without any problems. I’m curious if the installer on my USB was faulty or if something went wrong during setup—especially since everything worked perfectly yesterday and Windows seemed to function without issues.
