Hey,
I'm in the middle of building myself a new rig and it's becoming a complete nightmare. At the current moment, everything seems to power up okay, LEDs, etc but there's no display or POST.
Since I have an Asus motherboard, the power is flashing rapidly indicating that the DRAM has an issue. Now I've already swapped the motherboard from a Gigabyte one that also had an LED stating that there was an issue with the DRAM.
So in regard to the RAM I've tried:
Reseating the RAM.
Trying with 2 and 1 one stick.
Making sure it's actually pushed all the way in.
Tried different slots.
Checked for any damage etc.
I've tested with RAM that definitely works in my older system, and that SHOULD be compatible with my new system, but the power LED is throwing the same error.
So far, I've basically swapped the RAM, motherboard, and PSU. Interestingly enough, my old PSU that works doesn't actually power up my system at all but is meant to be compatible too, that's confused me even more.
I've checked the CPU and there's no damage to that I can see, also checked both motherboard pins and they all seem to be in order. For some reason, I don't want to believe it's a CPU issue but I'm guessing it's very possible, and at this stage, it's the last component.
I've given the CMOS a restart just in case but I'm starting to think this is a CPU-related issue despite it being flagged as a RAM one.
Any insight or help at this point would be greatly appreciated. I feel like I may have missed something. The only thing I haven't done so far is flash the BIOS for updates as it should be okay at the moment, but may give it a go.
Specs:
Intel Core i7-13700KF 3.4 GHz 16-Core Processor
Asus PRIME Z790-P D4 ATX LGA1700 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4
ADX PSU 650W
Gigabyte 4070 12GB
MSI MAG CORELIQUID 360R V2 360 mm Liquid CPU Cooler - RGB LED
Corsair RGB Fans Triple Pack

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! Are the rams filling slots A2 and B2 on the motherboard? You might want to attempt some adjustments to ease pressure from the CPU cooler's mount by turning a few screws clockwise for the four posts of the AIO. If that doesn't help, examine the CPU socket for any bent or damaged pins.
To eliminate your processor as the cause, try installing it on a known functional motherboard/platform and observe if the problem persists. If it does, you've identified the issue.

Confirm if the motherboard is compatible with DDR4 and check the listed memory QVLs.

Apologies, the update changed the motherboard from WiFi to D4 – a small error! However, it does support DDR4.

Thanks! So far, I've checked everything, but nothing seems to work. I'll need to test another CPU maybe.

I expect a good power supply, but I'm not sure if that ADX will work. Which connections from the PSU are you using for the 4070?

So I’ve tried an EVGA 650w that definitely works, the exact same issue, dram issue with a flashing power icon
🙁

Remove the video card and use the motherboard with built-in graphics. Then test one stick of memory in each slot, ensuring a single stick is used for each attempt to boot into BIOS.

For anyone curious about this, the only parts I haven’t changed are the CPU and its cooler. I’ll make sure my cooler is fully configured before proceeding to swap out the CPU.
If swapping the CPU isn’t an option, then what do I do next?
