I recently assembled a new PC and encountered an issue: it powers on with fans spinning and the GPU LED showing blue, yet there’s no display output. The monitor displays "No Signal."
Parts list:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 4500 (new)
Motherboard: Gigabyte A520M K V2 (new)
GPU: XFX RX 580 XXX GTS (used, previously working)
RAM: Samsung 2x32GB 2933MHz (gift from friends)
PSU: MSI MAG A550BN (new)
Storage: Western Digital 1 TB NVMe PCIe Gen 4 x4 M.2 SSD (gift from friend)
I’ve replaced the RAM and GPU, tested the system outside the case, and this is my first build—no clear solution yet.
I also attempted to reset CMOS by removing the battery, waiting a few minutes, then reinserting it.
Yes, that is certainly a problem. The system will not post with incompatible memory installed, nor with no memory installed as well.
You need at least one stick of compatible memory installed for it to do anything.
the connection being used on the gpu is connected to the monitor.

I'm asking because the PCB 1.0 version has an alphanumeric BIOS, whereas PCB version 1.1 doesn't. Regardless, the processor you bought should be compatible with the first BIOS release, whether it's F1 (PCB v1.0) or FA (PCB v1.1).

Did you actually test the GPU before buying it? Also, the RX 580 are known for being power-hungry. Cards that are overclocked in the factory would consume more power than the standard model. Therefore, you'd need a PSU with at least 650W to handle it properly. Try transferring the GPU to another system with a solid PSU and see if the display works.
If the problem continues on your setup and the GPU still functions, it might be the motherboard BIOS that's causing the issue. Unfortunately, the board you have listed doesn't include a Q-Flash Plus option for BIOS recovery.

I didn't request a video, but the seller had a perfect rating. I don't own another PC to check the graphics card. Should I test it using a PC monitor instead of a TV?
I've edited to mention that I actually have another PC, which is a Dell Dimension running am2.
I have tested it with a pc monitor, still no output.

Doesn't the blue LED on the gpu mean that it is getting enough power?
