No device works universally in GTA V on PC.
The setting indicates an Xbox controller, but it doesn't necessarily limit you to just that type. It may work with PlayStation controllers as well.
It functions with any controller compatible with a PC. It relies on the Xbox model as a reference.
SCPserver runs on the PC, which perceives the PS controller as an Xbox controller.
