Hi, I'm rocking a 6 year old ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming motherboard without built-in WiFi, so I'm using it together with an ASUS PCE-AC68 WiFi 5 card. I recently upgraded my home router to WiFi 6 so I need a new WiFi card for my desktop to make use of the new technology. The problem is I can't make heads or tails of what cards are available. I found a couple of Intel cards like the AX200 that go into an M.2 slot for WiFi, which my motherboard doesn't have. Then I found some variants like the Gigabte GC-WBAX200. That seems to be the same Intel card fitted with a PCIe adapter. Then I found some mentions of Intel AX211 and AX411 cards but no sellers anywhere. Seems like those were just paper launches. Anyway I'm looking for a card that supports WiFi 6(E) and Bluetooth 5.2, and that can be installed in a PCIe x1 slot. Anyone know what my options are? I live in the EU if that makes any difference.

AX411 and AX211 aren't compatible because they require CNVio2, which isn't supported in a typical PCIe port. Consider using an AX210 instead.

I'm uncertain about the details, but I purchased the AX210 from this modest company. I noticed Gigabyte has a comparable model but at a higher price and don't believe it offers better performance. I also discovered Asus offers cards that don't rely on Intel chips or conceal them well.

Based on the Amazon reviews, it seems the device utilizes Intel AX210 chips. It's likely all users will experience similar performance since they're using the same chipset. Variations may appear in cooling solutions like heatsinks and antenna designs. You should be able to modify or replace components yourself with ease.
