So the laptop comes with a SSD, but it's only 128 GB, but does have a sdcard slot that you can get to using a sim extractor tool. I plugged in an sdcard and formatted it as NTFS. The speed is slower than SSD, but should be ok for documents. However, I have notice that when I delete the file, it doesn't go into recycle bin. when I open the recycling bin properteries, it appears that recycle does not cover sdcard. I tried to locate a setting that may change it, but can't find one. Based on a few articles, it appears that external drives do not have recycling without some sort of registry hack.
For those seeking a more adventurous approach, here’s how I set things up to take the chance. 1. Executed a System restore Create Point for potential rollback. 2. Executed Regedit with administrative privileges. 3. Navigated to \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer. 4. Since no RecycleBinDrives entry existed, I added a new dword, assigning it the key "RecycleBinDrives" and setting its value to hexadecimal "ffffffff". 5. Restarted the computer to activate the recycling feature. To undo, simply remove the RecycleBinDrives entry. A more refined method would involve adjusting group policies, though this is limited to Windows 10 Pro and enterprise environments. What I outlined should apply to all Windows 10 versions.
