Need assistance quickly. I have two internet providers—Converge and Prodata. On Converge, connecting my PC via LAN doesn’t work, but it does on my sister’s PC (LAN too). With Prodata modem on LAN, everything functions properly, so there’s no issue with my PC or drivers. However, there’s a problem when I connect to Converge. Please help me. PS: all drivers are up to date.

What is this? The reason? You haven’t mentioned any operating system or specifications, nor have you shared the details of any network troubleshooting you’ve performed.

We need more details to assist effectively. Please share the exact model and make of the modem used by both providers. List any additional networking equipment like routers or switches. Describe how the devices are connected, including a diagram if possible. This will help clarify the internet connection path from outside to your modems and then to your network gear.

When connecting my PC to "converge" (ISP) through a LAN, the Ethernet port doesn't establish a connection. We have two ISPs since I and my sister attend online classes; if Converge goes down, we can switch to a backup Wi-Fi network so we can keep our classes going. My PC runs Windows 10 Pro with an ASRock Fatal1ty b85 B85 killer 60GB SSD and 1TB HDD. I attempted reinstalling the LAN drivers and flushing DNS, but it didn't help. Apologies for the lack of details.

The long white cable linked to Prodata serves as the Ethernet connection for my PC, meaning I can easily transfer it to another router when changing networks.

Do you have DHCP or a static IP assigned? When you mention "no connection" do you mean you're sure the port on your Converge router is operational? Have you tested another port? It's likely (and I've encountered this before) that the ISP router binds to the MAC address of the first device it connects to and blocks all others.

You switch to a wireless connection and experience changes in performance or connectivity depending on your setup.

Yes there is connection in my phone but in my PC, in still trying to find my wifi adaptor, I forgot where it was place, might need some time to find that

Are you experiencing a problem connecting your phone to either of the routers? This appears to be a concern specific to your PC.

the port functions properly since my sister's pc can reach it. i attempted the same port but still couldn't establish a connection. it appears briefly detected then drops again. you might assume the issue lies with my pc's port, yet i connect fine on prodata and not at converge—only on my own system. yesterday i tried using dad's laptop, connecting the cable from his to mine, and it worked there but not on my end. i have classes this morning, so i needed converge which supports 25mbps while prodata only handles 2mbps (just for backup).
