You’ve set up Manjaro Linux but still face problems with Proton games. Both GTA V and BeamNG.drive report DirectX errors. Check if your graphics drivers are updated, try reinstalling Proton, or verify that the correct version of Proton is enabled for your game. Let me know what you try next!

I'm struggling to find a solution. I've tried installing drivers from Manjaro settings, video-linux, and video-vesa, but haven't confirmed they're correct. Could you help me figure this out or point me to a recent guide? I've spent about two hours searching without success.

Launch the terminal and run the command to install amdgpu. Then restart the system.

I thought I had a solution, but now I’m stuck with a black screen. I’ve restarted multiple times without fixing it. Should I probably reinstall the system?

It seems AMD GPU only supports experimental GCN1 cards. Switching to tty is usually the way—use ctrl-alt-f2 to remove the driver, then run sudo pacman -Rs xf86-video-amdgpu. You might also try installing the catalyst driver from the AUR. If you have yaourt installed, use yaourt -S catalyst-total. For a better option, consider switching to yay with yaourt -S yay and then just use yay.

The issue seems resolved, but you might need updated GPU drivers for optimal performance.

Restart the system to restore default drivers—bypass this if you prefer installing the catalyst instead.

I've restarted several times yet a black screen persists. Attempting to install the catalyst driver results in the error message 'command yaourt not found'.

Progress: Installation succeeded, but running the command displays a menu with choices. If you press Enter directly, you’ll be prompted to confirm removing make dependencies after installation.
