I was planning to buy a quest 2 and came across a site with GPU accessories. They had a support list for GPUs, but I didn’t see any 40 series models listed. After some research, I wanted to know if using a 40 series GPU on quest 2 still works. I read that about a month ago they supposedly fixed the issue with the Quest 3, but I wasn’t sure if the same update applied to quest 2. I’m just gathering info to back up my decision!

I've owned the Quest 2 and the 4070 (Gigabyte Windforce x3) since launch, using them consistently without any problems. You're in good shape.

You might have noticed some articles that seemed unrelated, focusing on a notification about the system not meeting certain standards. It’s possible I didn’t realize how easily it could let you accept the message and proceed with the link.

The Oculus PC software displays a banner at the top indicating my PC doesn't meet the recommended VR requirements. I quickly checked online and found it was common knowledge, though some thought it might be specific to the 40 series. It seems to be just a visual issue, and everything functions perfectly—actually better than with my 2070 Super.
