Hello everyone, I recently assembled a new gaming setup using components I already had plus some I purchased. My build included an RX 5700 XT, Aorus B450 Pro, Wi-Fi HyperX, Ryzen 5 2600, and a case with RGB fans, AIO coolers, CPU cooler splitters, and M.2 slots. The system started up smoothly after installation, but I encountered problems with the RGB lighting. Specifically, none of the fan RGBs were functioning, and even the CPU block’s RGB stayed off. I’ve tested various headers, tried RGB Fusion, but nothing seems to work. One attempt was using a splitter for all CPU lights and connecting it to the CPU LED header. Interestingly, the radiator fans seem to be getting just a tiny bit of light. Anyone have any ideas about what might be causing this? The RGB on the B450 worked with other setups—like a Wraith Prism and a Corsair fan. Thanks for your help! -Z

What color case is used? Which RGB fans are compatible? Which RGB AIO CPU cooler? Brand and model details. The Gigabyte Aorus B450 Pro WiFi motherboard features two distinct RGB header types: 3-pin 5V ARGB and 4-pin 12V RGB. Ensure you connect the correct type to the right pin—do not swap a 3-pin ARGB with a 4-pin GB header, nor vice versa. Both ARGB and RGB have their own polarity. On the 4-pin 12V RGB setup, the pin marked with the arrow connects to Pin #1 (12V power). Reversing it may cause failure or damage to the RGB header or lighting/fan circuitry. Similarly, the 3-pin 5V ARGB has its own orientation rule. Corsair provides a custom proprietary 5-pin RGB connector; you’ll need an adapter or use their iCUE Commander (Pro) and iCU software for control.

Thanks for reaching out. It seems the manual didn’t cover this issue, and the ARGB port wasn’t compatible with your three front fans. After checking, I connected an RGB extender and rerouted the front fans to a different LED port on the motherboard. The fans functioned normally, which was unexpected but worked well. Appreciate the support!
